The Bloom & Grow Garden Society of West Orange County will hold its 22th annual Spring Fever in the Garden festival in Downtown Winter Garden. Plant Street will be filled with the quintessential homage to spring and gardening.

This festival is set in charming, historic downtown Winter Garden, with its brick lined streets, quaint shops, great restaurants, a splash pad for the kids, the city clock tower, lush hanging flower baskets, a vine covered gazebo area with a fountain offers a calming respite from the festival activity. Be sure to see Flora, our copper Monarch sculpture in Butterfly Park. Come join us for a wonderful ode to spring!

Visit Downtown Melbourne this spring for a FREE family-friendly event that attracts visitors from the region and features lavish landscape designs, garden necessities, flowers, plants, trees, shrubs, and great food! Bring your wagon and leave with new items for your yard. Parking is available at the many City of Melbourne public parking lots including the free parking garage.

Learn how to use organic matter and fertilizer to create healthy soils. Florida soil is sandy, and most plants benefit from some soil amendments. Learn about the special fertility needs of different types of plants including vegetables, fruit trees, ornamentals, palms and turf. This class will cover types of fertilizer, timing of application, methods of applying fertilizer, soil building strategies, mulch and compost. This class will be held in person and attendees will receive a free sample of worm castings. This class will be taught by Tia Silvasy, Residential Horticulture Agent with UF/IFAS Extension Hillsborough County and Mark Robinson of Revival Gardening.
